What type of bike should I rent?
The best bike for you is one that fits with your riding style and comfort level. Hybrid bikes are a great choice for the majority of cyclists, providing a quick and comfortable ride. We recommend the Race bike package only to experienced road bike riders.
What if I don't know what size bike I ride?
Bike sizes depend on a few factors, if you are unsure about your size, please contact any of our store locations and speak to one of our knowledgable sales associates. For more about Fit and Sizing, click here. Please know your appropriate size when placing your rental order.
Can I bring my own pedals?
Yes. Rental bikes come standard with flat platform pedals (perfectly suitable for sneakers), however if you provide your own pedals (if, for instance you want to ride clipless) we are happy to install those for you.
What day should I pick up my bike?
Pick up will be after 10am on the Saturday before the ride. Please see the store hours for opening and closing times.
Will bikes have water bottle cages?
Each will bike will come equipped with one water bottle cage.
What do I do with my bike at the end of the ride?
All rentals must be returned before 12pm on Monday to the pick up store location you select.
What if I need support along the route?
The TD Five Boro Bike Tour is a fully supported event. You will find maintenance stops and assistance along the route. See the event web site for more details.
Do you provide helmets?
Helmets are required on the TD Bank Five Boro Bike Tour and are included for free in your bike rental package.
Do the bikes comes with a spare tube?
Tubes, flat kits, and other accessories will be available for purchase at our pick up locations.
Do I need to reserve now?
We recommend that you reserve your equipment as soon as you've received confirmation of your registration to ride in the TD Bank Five Boro Bike tour. We will guarantee a bike for you with a reservation.
