        Comments:

I'm 36 yrs old and I haven't been on a bike in years... I bought two other "cookie cutter" bikes trying to find one that was comfortable for me to get into a daily riding for excercise. Both of the cheaper "Cookie Cutter" bikes were returned when I found this Diamondback. Not only was it comfortable but it was considerably lighter then the other steel frame bikes I had just returned. Top quality derailers, and components at a very reasonable price. Spend the extra $100 on a Diamondback.... You'll be glad you did! I'm very happy with mine!

I was going to get another brands street bike but didn't have enough cash. This bike is decent but I wish I would have held out for my first choice. It is a little heavy and the wheels are 26", which is too small.

          Comments:

I got this bike after not having ridden for almost 15 years. I got it at my local bike shop, where this was basically the cheapest thing in the store. It works great for city commuting, on all sorts of terrain! The chain falls off more than I would like, and it's really darned heavy compared to some of the really expensive bikes, but I would recommend this bike to any commuter. It's a workhorse! I added a topeak rack on the back for carrying my luggage, and changed the seat to a planet bike gel seat.

            Comments:

With the high cost of gasoline, I have taken to riding the 15 mile round trip to work and home each day along with assorted errands. On the weekends I ride for sport and pleasure and this bike handles both jobs admirably. The availability of the xl frame is something that I require to ride comfortably, especialy in urban settings. The durability and handling characteristics also make it a nice ride when heading into the sticks. The only complaint I have, and it's a minor issue to be honest, is with the shifting. It is a little too easy to miss the gear you are aiming at either over or under. But that said, the price and overall quality of the bike more than make up for this minor deficiency. I give it a strong reccomendation for those who, like me are casual off road but avid on road riders.
