Keep Bicycle Sundays Rolling

The 2015 Bicycle Sundays season will start on Sunday May 3rd, 2015.

The Bronx River Parkway will be closed for riders on May 3, 10, 17, 31, June 7, 14, 21,28 and September 13, 20, 27

This year marks the 41th anniversary of this highly valued Westchester tradition.  Over 60,000 participants ride the parkway every year.

Did you know that since the summer of 2011, when Westchester County budget cuts became a reality, this remarkable undertaking has been funded by private grants?

Friends of Westchester County Parks, in partnership with Con Edison, have been the sole funders of Bicycle Sundays for the past four years.

We want to keep BICYCLE SUNDAYS ROLLING. But we cannot continue this program without your help!

We are asking you to support Bicycle Sundays by becoming a member of Friends of Westchester County Parks with a generous donation at

Your donation will ensure that we have enough funds to underwrite the 2016 Bicycle Sunday season, and continue a favorite pastime.

A Friends membership includes a T-shirt, free entrance to Winter Wonderland, and 10 parking passes to the Westchester County Parks.

Our mission is to engage the public to advocate for and invest in the preservation, conservation, use and enjoyment of the 18,000 acres of parks, trails and open spaces within the Westchester County Parks System.
