Santa Cruz Hightower R Carbon C 27+
$3,999.00
With 135mm of Santa Cruz' proven VPP suspension design and a slacked-out 67-degree head angle, the Hightower shifts the wagon-wheel paradigm toward aggressive trail bike standards. In the case of the 27+ version, this means plus-size 27.5 x 2.8 tires for extra float and traction on sketchy terrain. Short chainstays and a spacious cockpit ramp-up the fun when railing technical descents and put you in a powerful position for blazing uphill battles. Adding Boost hub spacing and a clever high/low chip that alters the bike's bottom bracket height allows you to run the stock 27.5+ wheelset or change to 29ers for extra speed and precision. Bike handling characteristics remain optimized no matter which wheel size you choose thanks to a flip of the chip. The Hightower 27+ Carbon C R comes equipped with a RockShox Revelation RC 150mm fork and stop and go bits from SRAM that offer solid performance in a mid-level package. For the Carbon C frame, Santa Cruz used a slightly different construction method to keep the cost down, but the stiffness, durability, and strength are identical to the top-level Carbon CC.
Surly ECR 27.5+
$1,900.00
The ECR is Surly's answer to those times when you just need to escape to the woods for a while to get away from the humdrum of life. Those familiar with this steel mule know it’s designed around plus tires, previously of the 29” variety. A fully loaded 29+ bike is an excellent way to explore and get away for a while… if you’re of a certain stature that is. For smaller riders, it poses several challenges though. And no one wants new problems when they’re in the woods trying to escape old ones. To solve this, Surly redesigned the smaller sizes of the ECR to work with 27.5+ while the larger sizes are still equipped with 29+. All you medium specimens out there get your pick of the litter as Surly's offering that size in both options. Other updates to the ECR include and are limited to: Gnot-Boost rear spacing and a killer new beige paint job. It retains the abundant accessory mounts that we all know and love like Surly Trip Guide for brakes and derailleurs, fender, rack, and Bill/Ted eyelets, and a Rohloff torque arm slot. The 27.5+ sizes also feature two sets of Three-Pack bosses. You’ve got lots of options to bring all your “necessities” with you and still have room for excess baggage if you’ve got it.
Fuji Bighorn 1.1
$2,999.99

The 27.5-plus Schwalbe tires on the Bighorn 1.1 provide gobs of traction and stability for increased confidence on the trail and act as micro suspension so you don't get beat up hammering over roots and rocks. The RockShox Revelation fork adds even more trail-taming suspension, soaking up 120mm of the rough to fight fatigue and add control. DT Swiss wheels deliver high-strength and light weight with a name you can rely on in any riding conditions. The huge range of SRAM’s GX Eagle drivetrain will get you up the steep trail sections that you used to have to walk, and Guide R brakes let you modulate your speed precisely to maximize both fun and control.

And, with Surly's Gnot Boost rear dropout spacing, you can comfortably run any kind of mountain bike hub: 10 x 135mm QR, 12 x 142mm, or 12 x 148mm Boost will all work in the Karate Monkey frame. Wheel choices aside, Surly built the updated Karate Monkey with a nod toward modern trail-bike geometry and includes internal dropper post routing, two or three bottle mounts (depending on size), threaded fender eyelets, and all the braze-ons you've come to expect from Surly for attaching racks, cages, and bags galore. Specialized Fuse Comp 6Fattie
$1,650.00
Take a look at the world's strongest man, and you're not going to find some chiseled Adonis. You're going to find someone who has more volume. Behind the "extra" surface area, though, there's a man that can dominate a caber toss and run down the tarmac with a plane in tow. Mathematically, it could be broken down as more volume + versatility = dominance, and that's exactly what's at play with the Fuse Comp. Our 6Fattie Wheel/Tire System uplifts the Fuse to have more traction and control than any hardtail before it, while its no-nonsense build is custom spec'd to get the job done, no matter how rugged, technical, or hair raising that job might be. Even better, this system also allows you the opportunity to toggle between 29-inch wheels (not included) and 6Fattie wheels, allowing the ultimate in configuration options for the trail at hand. - M4 Aluminum with Smooth Welds proved to be the right material for the job, allowing a lightweight, durable frame with a low and slack geometry that's equal parts snappy and efficient on climbs and descents. It also allowed us to incorporate our exclusive Diamond Stay that accommodates the 6Fattie wheels/tires without compromising on our hallmark short chainstays that provide unrivaled handling and climbing prowess. - A Manitou Machete 29/6Fattie fork features up to 120mm of plush, trail-taming travel. It's also air-sprung for smooth travel and low stiction, plus it has an adjustable rebound and compression lockout for more efficiency on the climbs. - A durable SRAM NX 11-speed rear derailleur gives you reliable access to a wide range of gears.
Specialized Men's Stumpjumper Comp Carbon 27.5 - 12-Speed
$4,520.00
Don't worry, S-Works doesn't get to have all of the fun—the new Stumpjumper Comp Carbon 27.5 features the same frame with a full 11m carbon chassis and rear-end as its older brother, but with a solid list of no-fuss components, including a SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed groupset, for an everyman's budget. Our design goal for the new Stumpjumper was simple—build the ultimate trail bike, one that feels telepathic. And it turns out that this feeling all comes down to stiffness. Think of it this way: when the frame's telling your hands one thing and your feet another, your brain gets confused with the imbalance and the bike feels unstable. In order to fix this, we had to get to work on dialing-in the materials, shapes, and the layout. We started by creating our own mountain-specific stiffness test, and then we looked at the layout with Finite Element Analysis (FEA) to see where we could get the biggest stiffness improvements. This led to a big discovery: The Large and X-Large frames needed more front-end stiffness while the Smalls and Mediums were just fine. We were able to create a frame design that was 20% more efficient. And in the end, this proved to be one of the lightest trail frames on the market today. When designing the frame with the stiffness targets being a main goal, we developed a radical new sidearm design. The front-end and rear-end are connected at three points, and the sidearm helps keep all these points super stiff and connected, all while taking about 100 grams out of the rear-end. More explicitly, this minimizes frame flex when the rear suspension is active. We continued down the suspension path with a custom Rx Trail Tune on both the fork and rear shock. Suspension performance is highly dependent on frame, wheel, and rider size, so we use our Rx Tune to get each bike to land in the middle of the adjustment spectrum, and this gives you the biggest possible range to fine-tune your ride. Another focal point of the tune was matching the suspension characteristics between wheel sizes—we developed a specific Rx Tune for each platform. So, no matter what wheel size you prefer, you'll get perfectly linear suspension. Steps were also taken to make this bike easy to live with. Threaded bottom brackets make a triumphant return, and we made room for up to a 3.0" tire. You're also free to run whatever aftermarket rear shock you want since we're using standard metric shocks. We revamped the SWAT box, too, making it sleeker, lighter, and with more volume. And customization is furthered with a Flip Chip that lets you to dial-in your Stumpy to your riding style. Switch it from High to Low and it drops your bottom bracket 6mm and slackens the head tube by half-a-degree. Little details also jump out to surprise you, like a newly designed ribbed chainstay protector that makes chain slap a thing of the past and nearly silences the drivetrain. Lastly, we seriously couldn't make cable routing any easier on carbon models. Full tubes can be found throughout the carbon frame, so all you have to do is push the cable and it'll come out the other end. No more lazy loop, hidden stashes of magnets, pokey spokes, or pillows to cry in. The build on this Comp model comes with a list of components that deliver undeniable quality, like a 12-speed SRAM NX Eagle drivetrain, SRAM Guide R disc brakes, FOX front and rear suspension, and Roval Traverse 27.5 wheels. - The Stumpjumper's asymmetrical, FACT 11m carbon fiber construction is lightweight, stiff, and ready to take on the trail. It's built off our 27.5 Trail Geometry, so it's just the right amount of both capable and comfortable. And with SWAT integration in the down tube, a threaded BB, easy cable routing, and an all-new chain silencer, it's ready for anything the trail, or you, throw at it. - The FOX DPS Performance rear shock features our Rx Trail Tune, ensuring that no matter the wheel or frame size, your bike is dialed-in perfectly. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset features a wide gear range that delivers climbing and descending efficiency in spades.
Specialized Fuse 27.5+
$1,150.00
If you show us a trail rider that says they couldn't use more traction, we'll show a trail rider that's never ridden our Fuse. We like to call it the ultimate trail hardtail, and with a 27.5+ tire system, this becomes more than just talk. Its 27.5 x 3.0" tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And to solidify itself as a sweet trail machine, this iteration of the Fuse places a focus on blending tough-as-nails durability with reliable performance. This meant spec'ing it with strong alloy rims, a bulletproof one-by drivetrain with plenty of hammering and climbing ability, and an SR Suntour fork with 120mm of travel. It has everything you need to ride harder and go faster, and nothing that you don't. - The frame features an A1 Premium Aluminum construction that provides an ideal blend of efficiency and durability. - An SR Suntour XCM32 6Fattie fork features stiff 32mm stanchions and up to 120mm of smooth travel. - Shimano Deore shifting kit is precise and damn tough, so it can face down rock gardens and rough trails while still providing accurate and reliable shifting.
Specialized Fuse Comp Carbon 27.5+
$3,200.00
If you haven't ridden on 27.5+ tires, we challenge you to do it and not walk away with a stoked-out grin. Case in point is the Fuse Comp Carbon. To start, it lives by the philosophy that more tire volume results in more speed. It might be a claim that sounds flipped on its head, but one ride and you'll be shouting it from the rooftops. These bigger tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And then there's everything else that makes it ride like a proper trail machine. This Fuse places a focus on blending durability, performance, and utility. To do so, we spec'd it with a bulletproof SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, a sweet dropper post, and a RockShox Revelation RC fork with 120mm of buttery smooth travel. And exclusive to the Fuse family with this model, utility is finally covered with the addition of integrated storage at the downtube via our SWAT Door. - FACT 10m carbon fiber frame construction blends stiffness with light weight to form the pinnacle of efficiency, while internal routing tubes and integrated a SWAT Door create a tidy aesthetic and zero-hassle storage. - A RockShox Revelation RC fork handles suspension up front with ease, soaking up bumpy terrain with 120mm of plush travel. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset features a wide gear range that delivers climbing and descending efficiency in spades. On top of this, the one-by setup is notorious for being next to impossible to drop a chain with, and it provides significant weight savings in comparison to a standard two-by setup.
Specialized Fuse Expert 27.5+
$2,000.00
We said it once, and we'll say it again—more volume means more speed. It might sound flipped on its head, but one ride on the Fuse Expert will have you shouting 27.5+ praises from the mountaintop. These bigger tires put out more traction, more floatation, and better handling without sacrificing anything to efficiency on climbs. And then there's everything else that makes it ride like a proper trail machine, like striking the perfect blend of performance and durability. This meant spec'ing it with strong alloy rims, a SRAM NX Eagle 12-speed drivetrain, dropper post, and a plush RockShox Reba RL fork with 120mm of smooth travel. This Fuse is equally ready to take a beating and to hand one out to the trail. - M4 Aluminum with Smooth Welds proved to be the right material for the job, allowing a lightweight, durable frame with a low and slack geometry that's equal parts snappy and efficient on climbs and descents. It also allowed us to incorporate our exclusive Diamond Stay that accommodates the 27.5+ wheels & tires without compromising on our hallmark short chainstays. - A RockShox Reba RL 29/6Fattie fork features up to 120mm of plush, trail-taming travel. It's also air-sprung for smooth travel and low stiction, and it has an adjustable rebound and compression lockout for more efficiency on the climbs. - SRAM's 12-speed NX Eagle groupset features a wide gear range that delivers climbing and descending efficiency in spades. On top of this, the one-by setup is notorious for being next to impossible to drop a chain with, and it provides significant weight savings in comparison to a standard two-by setup.

Santa Cruz 5010 Carbon C S+
$4,899.00 - $6,099.00
The 5010 is the most fun you can have on two off-road wheels and Danny MacAskill’s wee bike of choice. Turning trails into pump tracks and logs into launches, this bike begs to spend as much time above the ground as on it. It's a laser-sharp, agile trail whip that turns on a dime and loves to pop and play. The 130mm-travel 5010 sports short chainstays and a low BB for a uniquely playful character and an insatiable appetite for negotiating steep, technical climbs. When it’s time to descend, the bike’s 66.2/66.5-degree head tube angle (adjusted via flip chip) and generous reach/short stem combo equate to precise, confident handling. The upper-link driven shock VPP suspension is configured to be sharp and responsive. A firm beginning stroke makes for responsive, snappy pedaling and provides support for small bump, bump-jump playfulness, while the progressive curve offers the bottom-out resistance to make it feel like there’s a lot more travel than there actually is. Santa Cruz 5010 Aluminum S+
$4,099.00
The 5010 is the most fun you can have on two off-road wheels, and Danny MacAskill’s wee bike of choice. Turning trails into pump tracks and logs into launches, this bike begs to spend as much time above the ground as on it. Santa Cruz Bronson Aluminum R+
$3,499.00
Since the day it was born the Bronson has had the biggest personality in Santa Cruz's range of bikes. From flat out on the trail to fully flat over a table, each new generation redefines expectations of what a 150mm bike can do. The new lower-link mounted shock configuration opens up greater possibilities for maximum bump performance, a supportive mid-stroke, and a barely detectable bottom out. With 150mm of VPP travel on 27.5-inch wheels, the Bronson continually rides the sharp edge between agility and stability. Ideal for negotiating tech-gnar one moment and fast flowing terrain the next, the 160mm fork travel and 65-degree head angle ensure handling remains refined. Meanwhile, the redesigned, one-piece swingarm keeps the rear wheel tracking on point however twisted you get. There’s plenty of room to run up to 2.8-inch tires on plus rims. Santa Cruz offers build kit options for “regular” 27.5 and Plus using 2.6 tires. It feels like sorta-big is the sweet spot between the Velcro-like traction of plus tires and the traditional feel of a supportive casing on standard-width tires. The Bronson Aluminum R+ takes advantage of today's excellent selection of budget-friendly components, featuring SRAM's NX Eagle 1x12 drivetrain, SRAM Guide T hydraulic disc brakes paired to 200mm front and 180mm rear rotors, and a Race Face bar and stem combo. A tubeless-ready WTB wheelset wrapped in 2.6-inch Maxxis Minion tires provide extra bite when things get loose, and the RockShox Yari fork and Super Deluxe shock complement the VPP suspension design, giving you off-the-top response with the capability for big airs when you're ready.
