Comments:
Brightness of the Bontrager Flare 1 was entirely satisfactory and I liked that it could clip onto the rear of my Bontrager seat bag, which I was assured by the salesman would hold it securely. However, its clip is a flawed design, as somewhere along my 6 mile paved commute, the entire unit parted ways with my Bontrager seat bag, so the clip failed to perform its function! With the wind in my ears, I never heard the unit fall and retracing my route failed to yield any sign of my Flare 1 (which I only purchased a month ago, so only got to use several times). I highly recommend that its flawed clip isn't used to mount the Flare 1 or, like me, you will likely soon need to purchase a replacement taillight. Since I arrived at my destination without a taillight, I had to purchase a taillight from another manufacturer to allow me to travel home safely that night. As the loss of my Flare 1 taillight wasn't any fault of my own, I feel Bontrager owes me a replacement Flare 1. It's possible that the clip may not have opened enough to allow the unit's release, but instead the clip simply broke along my commute, but neither of these would be any fault of my own as my commute is per fairly smooth paved roads. Short of its flawed clip, it's a nice little unit, but having lost my unit along the road so soon, 3 stars is the best I can give it.

Very bright lights. Allows you to be seen by drivers at night, and allows you to see the road you are riding on. I liked them so much I bought 4 for all of our bikes.

Comments:
I commute to work daily - this light set works great(I'm still alive)! Very visible and the batteries that came with it are still good (6 weeks so far), so time will tell on lifespan. The many mounting solutions make it very easy to adapt to anything, and easy to transfer from one bike to another. Cannot be too visible - worth every cent.
